Welcome to the MintPick blog
A short note on what we are building and what to expect from this blog.
MintPick is a card centering measurement tool for Pokemon TCG flippers and collectors. We straighten any photo first — phone shots, eBay listings, card-show snaps — then measure where the printed image sits inside the borders.
This blog is where we'll share the decisions behind the tool, data we collect along the way, and short guides on the corners of card grading we keep getting questions about.
What's coming
- Pokemon Card Centering Guide — the long-form pillar piece on what centering is, how PSA / BGS / CGC measure it, and why crooked photos fake the numbers.
- Centering on eBay listing photos — the workflow MintPick was built for: pulling a listing image and pre-grading before you bid.
- PSA centering standards in 2026 — what the published thresholds actually mean for a 9 vs a 10.
- Measurements from real submissions — distributions from cards we've scanned, not theory.
